Fishing ... Ahhhh !!!!! Fishing ..

I am going to talk about fishing in general today 06-12-2007 . You are probly thinking why did he put peanuts if he is going to talk about fishing well that is a very good question . Well let me start by saying that in fishing for peanuts i can talk about anything that has to do with fishing on many different levels . Let me begin by talking about the ever elusive Bass now that is one species of fish that almost makes you wonder well are they smart or are they just going by instinct , Well smart in our way of thinking is knowing the difference between right and wrong . Personally i don't think that fish in general no anything but eat and sleep if they sleep . Now thats a question do fish sleep ? Can they close there eyes like those fish in cartoons ? Do they have eyelids ? Well of course not . Right ? Catfish are about some of the filthist fish ever they eat what is left after it has sinked to the bottom yummy ! But i have to say that even though they eat yummy brand bottom food they taste great ! Crappie are my favorite type of fish they are both fun to catch and taste good right out of the skillet . Bluegill and red ear are good eating to . About 15 years ago at mcalpine locks and dam on the ohio river one fellow who use to work there told my dad and me this story . He said and i quote that one of there locks got stuck and was not running so they had to send divers down to see what was the cause to see what was causing the lock to stop working and he was one of those divers . He said that when they got down there it was dark that they couldn't hardly see but what they saw next was something out of monster movie , Now for an instant think how big the old vw bug used to be now imagine seeing a catfish that size 40 feet below the water and the only thing between the catfish and you is a narrow shaft and lots of water . Needless to say that the divers came back up and told there supervisor that there was just some weeds and moss and the lock will be fine . They couldn't very well say Sir there is a 8 to 10 Foot catfish down there they would be locked up in a insane asylum . Not long after that that fellow retired only with that image buried in his mind . Gee nice image . Fishing is probaly one of the best sports there is you can be in touch with nature and at the same time catch fish life is good .
